Academic writing, simplified.
Write your thesis in plain text. Out of Office typesets it as you type — citations, figures, tables and page numbers — and shows every page exactly as it will print.

Write your thesis in plain text. Out of Office typesets it as you type — citations, figures, tables and page numbers — and shows every page exactly as it will print.

We handle the typesetting so you can handle the research.
Markdown for the prose, short directives like ::toc, ::table and ::references for everything a thesis needs. No toolbars, no hidden formatting.
The preview is the printed document — same page size, margins, breaks and page numbers — so what you proofread is what you hand in.
Import your BibTeX file, cite with [@key], and get the in-text citation and reference list in APA or DGPs style.
Upload an image or a CSV and it becomes a numbered figure or table with a caption, listed in the table of figures. Formulas render with KaTeX.
Invite co-authors and supervisors as editors or reviewers. Everyone sees the same text at the same moment, cursors included.
Automatic snapshots while you write, named versions when it matters, and a restore that never loses the draft you came from.

Most writing time goes into formatting,
not into the argument [@doe2024].

Everything is rendered in your browser. The server only stores your text and keeps co-authors in sync.
We are onboarding students, doctoral candidates and researchers in small groups. Tell us what you are writing and we will send you an invite.
